Thanks for the post Peter. As Nik mentioned, this is just the beginning of a long-term partnership. Do look forward for more on this.

Thanks for the feedback, Nik.

I've sent you an email with further information about the browser incompatibility, I don't want to clutter this comment thread!

Hi, Nik here - I am the CEO of Omnidrive. I find your comments very interesting and I always like hearing feedback from users. As we mentioned when we launched with Zoho, that this is just the beginning of a long-term relationship between the two companies. We fit together very well, and we will be doing further work. That might involve having this integration work the other way around as well (eg. Zoho users storing in Omnidrive). We will write about what our plans are for the future shortly, but this is just a starting point and it will only get better and better.

As for your Linux client, we will have one shortly, it is currently in development (both GUI and command-line). Out of interest, which browser did you use (was it KHTML based? - OD performs well in Safari). We proud ourselves on cross-platform support, both desktop client and browser support, so if you let us know which browser and version isn't working for you then we will do what we can to fix it.

Oh and what is with the first comment? This must be the 10th time I have seen the exact same comment (all with different names for the commenter) on various blogs.. hurrrm

I have to say, I'm not a fan of Omnidrive. When I tested it a couple of months ago, their Desktop client didn't work, and then didn't uninstall properly, and I am not impressed by their web interface or the general speed of the service.

I do like Zoho, however, so I will have to decide whether I will brave Omnidrive!

Update: Nik mentioned below that he had seen this exact comment at several other blogs. That's not the case, and he has said that he had misread it. With regards to my view of Omnidrive, Nik tells me that I was using an older, much poorer, version of the service, so I'll have to give the new version a go!
