In fact, I’m writing this post with Writely now. For those of you who don’t know, Writely is the online ajaxy word processor, bought by Google recently. When Google bought it, they closed it up, but it is possible to get an account by being invited to collaborate on a document with someone who already has an account. David at Misguided Thoughts was kind enough to give me an invite. So, first impressions then. It is definitely better than Zoho Writer, a similar product that I have been using, both in terms of features and usability.
I’m not going to do a proper review, as there are already probably thousands around, but I do now have plenty of invites, so if you would like an invite, post below. It really is worth giving a try, and it behaves remarkably like an offline word processor.
UPDATE: There’s no need to put your email in the body of the comment. Just put it in the field ‘email’ in the form. That way, I can see it to send the invite, but the spambots can’t.
