Bear with me here, the Apple ‘Showtime’ event is happening right now, so details are still coming through and I’ll keep updating this post as new information breaks.

Essentially, Apple’s event is where they are announcing have announced loads of new stuff.
So far, the list of new things includes:

• New iPods - 30 GB and 80 GB (but they don’t appear to be ‘full screen’) - featuring Instant Search for songs, shows, movies etc.
• New iPod Nano - aluminium and coloured versions
• New iPod Shuffle - aluminium
• New iPod earphones
• iTunes Movie downloads (US only for now, international ‘by 2007′)
• Videos for iPod now support 640×480 and the iTunes store will deliver 640×480 video
• Stream iTunes Store content to your TV
• iTunes 7 software
• Apple TV set-top box - iTV (name not final). Half the size of a Mac mini with wireless and presumably streaming - apparently looks a bit like Front Row - access to trailers online via wireless & ethernet
• New Apple site is online and apparently the event is over
